Good killing spree game

Great for a laugh, good to see that there's different weapons and multiple attacks, and more than one way to kill people. The music was cool too. A few bugs, but people have already pointed them out. Not a great deal of replay value sadly.

Classic shooting action

Another great installment in the Xiao Xiao series, bringing us more stick fight action and a great shooting game, pretty tricky and loads of fun. Classic stuff.

Better than the rest

This one takes the interactivity to a whole new level - whereas the previous episodes were very linear, this one gives you a lot more freedom to explore. Fun to play, and the puzzles can be tricky if you're not paying attention. The next episode should be good, especially if the series keeps on improving. A worthy daily award winner.

Violet-AIM responds:

Thanks for the reviewing and checking out previous episodes. Nice of you to notice the improvement in the interactivity of the 4th one. I plan on making more improvements as the series progresses. :)

Good game

A different style of game, original and fun to play. The squid noises were annoying, but the music was good and the graphics were excellent. Simple concept, and fairly difficult to play especially as you get a couple of levels into the game.

Interesting interactive story

An enjoyable flash - good to see some things where you have a choice of what to do (although there's only one way to get to the end). Nice little storyline, albeit it is just an introduction to the series. Graphics are fine and the music was good, although the sound quality on a couple of the voices wasn't great. Crazy ending, and overall a good submission.

Violet-AIM responds:

Thanks for reviewing. That interactivity thing was kind of hard for me to do back then, but I knew it was something that I wanted to keep doing in the series.

Has potential

It's like those games on itboxes and other quizzies that I don't play because Millionaire is better. You need to make it clear that there's five things to find. It certainly has potential - create multiple levels, with decreasing time limits and perhaps some help buttons (to give answers when people are stuck). These additions would make it better, but I still wouldn't really play it too much.

Bezman responds:

Thanks. :)

I was actually inspired by the spot the difference pub machines with women in lingerie. After my engine's totally set up, I want to do a porno spot the difference. ;)

I'll make an instructions screen which tells folk there will be 5 differences in each pair of pictures.

This was just supposed to be a sort of beta test - I'm going to start on some multiple levels pretty soon and I already coded it so I can have the time limit decrease on each level, as you suggested.

I'm really not too sure if a help button would be the best way to go. But I suppose it might be funky to have some hints or something... I'll give it some thought. Thanks for the idea!

Surprisingly good fun

I saw the filesize of this and thought it would suck, but this surprised me, as it's not bad at all. It could do with some work to make it better, like adding some sounds and nicer backgrounds, but the basic elements of the game look solid enough. Fairly impressive.

OK soundboard

Good to see a Weebl and Bob soundboard on NG. It's not fantastic, but it has a fair selection of comic phrases to choose from. You ought to try to rip a few from the movies as well, if you feel that way inclined.

Martin-88 responds:

i would, but i am no flash expert. i dont know how to rip sounds.

Eh?

From where I'm looking it just says loading, and nothing else. That indicates one of two things (esp. given the filesize) - deleted movie, or hosted elsewhere. Either way, the movie that I see now on NG is zero-worthy.

Intriguing interactive thingy

A "thingy" is the best way to describe it - it's not really a game or a movie. Press buttons, create pretty patterns and stuff. Fun for a couple of minutes but that's about it. Not bad, great for 3K but there's no way this is 3.x rated material.
