Not really, I don't like the idea of paying to use forums - the idea of keeping riff-raff out with a simple charge is interesting (and a few dollars isn't a problem) but there's perfectly good forums elsewhere.

Cheers. Part of the problem is that the non-junk topics are just lame, and you can't really delete/ban for sucking at the BBS. Whilst it's good that a huge amount of sheer crap is removed, there's little actual good content, even in somewhere like Politics.
I agree, the BBS has greatly gone down hill recently :(

This is crazy. You're completely right about nobody noticing that you're demodded. I didn't even notice except BlueHippo IMed me about it. I'd make a thread on it if I wasn't currently banned for stupidly posting in a bumped thread (fucking traps they are).
It just feels so weird because I remember that Rick Roll thread and the drama with Joe you had last week about that.

The trick to spotting bumped topics is that they usually:
- have retarded titles
- have ALL CAPS titles
- Are made by Adambomb or anyone else who's long left the BBS
- have a similar title to about 20 other topics on the first page
If, of course, you miss the fact that the first post was made in like 2002 :-)

The hell were you demodded for? About the only reason I cant think of would be inactivity, but if it's that then wtf? That's never been a problem before.
Commiseration's and all that for the demodding. Not gonna butter you up and say you were one of the best mods or whatever, but you certainly weren't a bad one.
I also can't believe nobody noticed O_o Normally this sort of thing gets shit loads of posts.

Oh wow, that sucks. Well atleast you had a good run and meeted some famous people of newgrounds...probably fun eh? I'm pretty sure many newgrounds users are going to miss you since you won't be on regularly anymore, but you know, it's newgrounds. Newgrounds can be hillarious and dumb, but a bit loserish and cold at the same time.
But you know, time moves on and changes are made. I hope you deal with this demodding in an...erm....respectable manner.

Yeah. This is how I feel about Newgrounds too. Too many assholes in power and too many idiots getting away with making the forum suck ass.
I've given up on NG and only came back to make an offensive topic about Michael J Fox.
Which, despite being recieved with humor and kudos, was deleted in five minutes.

Went on a drunken video posting spree which I was locking/dealing with at my end, until Joe decided to start deleting stuff without saying a thing until I called whoever out. Flaming and then demodding ensues.

I admire the way you handled this Jon, and i suppose it was better thisd happen than you keep on and become a powerthirsty Naxi like, say, Zerok. I myself wouldnt put it past the admins to treat someone that serve them this well like a piece of shit on the bottom of their shoe, and thats the sad truth.
FWIW Zerok PMed me at the time asking what I was doing, saying he didn't like it from a "doesn't look good on mods as a whole" angle, but let things slide. Jordy's fine.

I was informed of this by Gagsy last night and I haven't been on the BBS lately so this is quite unhappy news and I've seen you as a great user and mod (probably because I've never been in trouble with you). I would think that because you were slightly in active like you said has contributed to the demodding. I was told that you made a few threads that are usually locked or whatever then had an argument with Joe, also that you had drank a few too many. T'is a shame that no one has really noticed it and myself feel a bit guilty that I never even knew until some one informed me.
Have fun with that small fortune just don't spend it on something you regret later on. Personally I would like to see you make an appearance more often despite this incident as in my 4 years I've seen many leave and one day it'll be my turn which is something I refuse to do.
Maybe it's a good thing to get off this for you.
