Not very good

If that was your "most humourous" submission, I'd hate to see the others as I didn't find that funny at all. It's just a random collection of sprites interacting with each other in a tired, predictable and boring way. The sprites move well but that's to be expected as an absolute minimum in a sprite movie. If you do make the next 75%, please make it interesting.

TheComet responds:

The next 75% should bring the humor, by then the plot will have been developed and you'd get some good humor...that and because this movie is going to feature over 30 different VG characters :P

Don't really see the point of it

I suppose some people might find this fun for a few minutes, myself not included. It's just a load of static, the fun is in what your mind does, not the actual flash. Different and original I guess, but not enough for me to like it much.

Psykloak1 responds:

"...the fun is in what your mind does" thats the point. ^_^

I don't have that bad a computer, surely?

OK, there's no question that a lot of work went into this. The 3D graphics look very good, people clearly love it and the idea of a NG battle as it were is an excellent one. But I couldn't really enjoy it as for me it was only moving at about a frame per second. On low quality. I don't exactly have an awful computer (it's about a 1.3ghz), but surely it would have been better to sacrifice some quality to improve the framerate. I really couldn't enjoy it very much considering that on my machine it ran worse than a dodgy movie downloaded of Kazaa. If it's my computer it's my computer, I can only rate what I see.

SecretAgentBob responds:

Hmm... very odd. Did you have any other windows opened in front of the movie (not actually overlapping, just active, like a pop-up ad)? Sometimes that can slow things down.

Anyway, sorry it didn’t play right for you.

Really bad

That wasn't funny in the slightest, indeed in someways it was so bad it was disturbing. Short, below par in the graphics and sound departments, doesn't appeal to me at all.

JGold responds:

"In the slightest?" Who the fuck talks like that? And as for your other comments, why don't you watch it again or actually make a damn movie before you judge my graphics and sound.

Not a bad tribute

Tribute seems a bit of an odd word for it, but I suppose it's sort of suitable seeing how you're using the Pico characters. Not too bad, OK comedy with a cool twist at the end when Tom arrives. You might want to not have the sound playing while it's loading, not a big problem but it does annoy me slightly as I can't just mute the flash without muting Winamp playing MP3's at the same time. The actual music was good though!

alexsmolik responds:

Ok, I'll reconsider that for my next flashes. I will start the sound when you press the PLAY button, when it's finished loading. Ok, I can do that ! Sorry if it bothered you.
Yeah, maybe Tribute is a big word, but I couldn't come up with something ...
Thank LT for the actual music !!! ^^
Thanks for the nice review man !

Best in the series so far

Although this episode featured less interactivity than the previous two, it's probably the best of the bunch so far. The movie continues with the plot of the first two Ghost Motel flashes, and has a fair deal of interesting and funny moments. A little bit of violence, and it's possible for GM4 to go in many different directions. The voices still weren't great and were quiet in places, but overall it's a good job.

Violet-AIM responds:

I wanted this one to focus more on the story part, thus having less interactivity. Thanks again.

First one was a bit better

Personally, I think the first one was a bit better. This episode carries on in the same vein as the first, and has a bit of plot progression and the same interactivity which made the first Ghost Motel cool, but it just didn't seem as interesting. Still above average and worth looking at, but you need to watch the first one before seeing this.

Violet-AIM responds:

You're right, it's better to watch the things in order, just the way you're doing right now, since it's a continuing story. :)
